Plan notes
Useful context before you go
For a three-day stay, base yourself in Ao Nang for two nights and spend the final night on Railey. Avoid paying extra for an Ao Nang beachfront resort: the beach is crowded and the water is not recommended for swimming. Use a motorbike or car for flexibility, or Grab and tuk-tuks, which cost at least 100 THB per person. For boat trips, travel between November and May when the sea is generally flatter, and choose an early departure to reduce crowds. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, mosquito spray, a hat, swimwear, and comfortable footwear. For the Monkey Trail, avoid carrying plastic bags because monkeys may grab them. This plan prioritizes the creator's specific recommendations and omits places described as easy to skip.

day 3 early island-hopping circuit
Reserve the final day for the combined four-islands, Maya Bay and Phi Phi boat tour. It lasts about nine hours, starts before 6:00, includes substantial snorkeling, and is designed to reach the main stops before they become crowded. The route is most suitable when sea conditions are calm.
