Plan notes
Useful context before you go
This plan is designed around maximizing Ocean Riviera Paradise rather than building a broad Riviera Maya route. Download the H10 Ocean Hotels app before arrival for daily Blue Team schedules and à la carte menus. The property is large, so request a room near the lobby or pools if long walks are a concern; golf-cart shuttles can be arranged through the concierge. The main beach is small and rocky, so prioritize the pools, restaurants, spa, water park, and non-motorized water sports, while treating the shoreline as a short stop rather than the trip's centerpiece. Cancun International Airport is roughly 45 minutes away in normal traffic, but shared transfers can take over two hours when flights arrive together; a private van is the more reliable option for a tight schedule. A private transfer is around $70 one way, while a bus to downtown Playa del Carmen costs about $5 before taking a taxi to the resort. Standard all-inclusive pricing is around $230 per night for two adults from mid-May, with El Beso during spring-break dates around $370 per night; May and late September generally offer better value and thinner crowds. Privilege typically adds 20–30% but includes lounge access, concierge service, priority dining, a complimentary 30-minute hydrotherapy session, and a dedicated beach area. Budget separately for spa treatments, motorized water sports, special-event dinners, souvenirs, and the approximately $2-per-room nightly environmental sanitation tax. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, including rooms. Accessible rooms include wider doors and roll-in showers, and the main lobby, restaurants, primary pools, and newer-section elevators offer ramps or level access. Request a crib or pack and play in advance if needed; rollaway beds are not available.

What is in this plan
Days 1-2: Arrival, Room Setup & Resort Orientation
Use the first two days to settle into the large property and confirm the zones, dining reservations, and daily schedule. If minimizing walking is important, request a lobby- or pool-adjacent room immediately.
-
Cancun International AirportCancun International Airport, Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico
For the smoothest arrival, arrange a private van in advance. The normal drive is about 45 minutes, but shared transfers can stretch beyond two hours when multiple flights land together.

The resort is located at 296 km on the Chetumal Highway, just north of Playa del Carmen. Confirm the driver is taking you to the final highway exit rather than assuming a central Playa del Carmen drop-off.

Days 3-4: All-Inclusive Dining Circuit
Use the resort's dining variety as the main activity block. Most restaurants do not require reservations, but Privilege guests receive priority booking; à la carte venues generally offer a stronger meal experience than the buffet.
-

Use Amaranto for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, especially when you want live cooking stations or a themed buffet night. Buffet quality can be inconsistent, so treat it as the flexible default rather than the only dinner option.

Choose Villa Marina for a poolside breakfast or lunch when you want to remain near the water rather than crossing the property for a full meal.

Book La Locanda for Italian à la carte dining, pastas, and its proper wine list. This is a stronger choice for a relaxed dinner than repeating the buffet.

Days 5-6: Pools, Water Park, Spa & Sports
This is the resort's highest-density activity phase. Pools operate from 8:00 to 20:00; verify the Daisy Club water-park schedule because it is typically closed Mondays for deep cleaning. Motorized water sports and scuba diving cost extra, while kayaking and windsurfing are non-motorized options.
-

Spend a full morning rotating through the five outdoor pools. The main pool winds through the adults-only area and most pools have swim-up bars; one pool is shallow for younger children.

Day 7: Shoreline Reality Check & Nearby Excursion Options
Keep this phase flexible: the resort makes Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Xcaret easy day-trip options, but the property itself has enough amenities for a final resort day. Expect a rocky main beach and use the improved sargassum barriers as a bonus rather than expecting a pristine Riviera Maya beach.
-
Daisy ClubDaisy Club, Ocean Riviera Paradise, Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Visit the resort's main beach briefly for the coastal setting, but set expectations correctly: it is small and rocky, and the shoreline is not the resort's strongest feature.

Consider a Tulum day trip if you want to leave the resort for a major Riviera Maya destination. Arrange transportation through the resort rather than building an independent route into this short stay.

Choose Xcaret for a full-day excursion option when cultural and entertainment programming matters more than another resort day. Confirm current transport and admission details before booking.

Day 7 Evening: Family Clubs, Nightlife & Departure Planning
Finish with the resort's programmed entertainment rather than searching for an off-site casino, which is permanently closed. Choose the children's or teen programming according to age, then attend the theater show or live music before confirming departure transport.
