Plan notes
Useful context before you go
This is a tightly packed three-day budget plan for Macau, based on an estimated total of about $426 per person including flights, hotel, food, transport, tours, and activities. Compare flight prices across the month using Skyscanner or Google Flights, then book directly with the airline. Pre-book a three-day unlimited-data eSIM, withdraw Macanese patacas from an ATM rather than using a money changer, and carry cash for buses, taxis, street food, and small shops. Hong Kong dollars are widely accepted, but public buses require exact payment. Macau has no Uber or Grab. For accommodation, the Peninsula is best for walkable historic attractions, Cotai for resort entertainment, Taipa Village for food and local atmosphere, and Coloane for a quieter seaside stay. Budget for lines at both major egg-tart bakeries, and reserve show and buffet tickets in advance for better availability and discounts.
