Use this Roman gate as the entrance to Kaleiçi. Built in 130 CE for Emperor Hadrian’s arrival, it is one of Antalya’s best-preserved Roman gateways and contrasts sharply with the Ottoman architecture beyond it.

Explore the old town on foot for its stone ground floors, white walls, timber frames, and overhanging balconies. Kaleiçi means “inside the castle,” and its present visual identity is largely Ottoman despite its Roman foundations.
