Plan notes

Useful context before you go

This is a self-planned, fast-paced route built around independently booked stays, flights, scooters, cafés, markets, city views, day tours, and beach stops. Arrange the Vietnam e-visa through the verified government website and carry a printed copy even though the digital record may be sufficient. Install Grab and Klook before departure, carry some US dollars plus a small amount of Vietnamese dong for arrival expenses, and convert money gradually rather than exchanging the entire budget at once. Compare international flights at least one month ahead when possible, but check last-minute domestic deals as well. For scooter rentals, show your passport and licence, confirm whether an IDP is required, photograph every existing scratch and the fuel level before riding, and return the scooter with basic fuel. Keep a light layer for Ba Na Hills and allow a full day there; its upper areas can be cool and rainy. Vegetarian meals are available at the named restaurants, hotels, and cruise, while Hoi An's Met restaurant is specifically suitable for a vegan meal. Weekend timing matters: schedule Da Nang for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to see the Dragon Bridge fire show at 9:00 PM, and schedule Hanoi's night market for the weekend. At VinWonders, redeem any Klook food voucher before exiting because a scanned ticket may not allow re-entry.
