Kosovo's capital, Pristina, is one of Europe's youngest and most dynamic cities. Kosovo uses the Euro (€) as its de facto currency. Pristina is highly walkable, with major pedestrian boulevards like Mother Teresa Boulevard connecting many key landmarks. While English is widely spoken among younger locals and in hospitality venues, learning a few basic Albanian greetings (like 'Përshëndetje' for hello and 'Faleminderit' for thank you) goes a long way. For mobile connectivity, local prepaid SIM cards (such as IPKO or Vala) are inexpensive and readily available downtown. Taxis are reliable and affordable for trips slightly outside the center, like heading up to Gërmia Park.
